I have the honor to report that I have investigated the case of the colored men confined in Louisburg jail as requested in your communication of the 4th inst. and find that they were arrested under a capias issued by the Superior Court of Franklin County on two indictments found by the Grand Jury of that County.

The men, with the exception of one, are now at liberty, having given bonds in the sum of $200.00 each, for their appearance at the next term of Court.
