Preface

SUCH AS I HAVE, is a volume composed of sermons developed and preached by the writer during his present pastorate, Seventeenth Street Baptist Church, Anniston, Alabama, and in the Alabama Baptist State Convention, the Women's Baptist State Convention of Alabama, and the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc.

This Volume is being released in response to requests by numerous friends who were members of the congregations and assemblies when they were delivered.

This first volume is appearing at a very troubled period in the world's history, and while the sermons in this book were not specially prepared, they are glimpses of the writer, preacher in action. Though they may not be a panacea, or formula, or magic word, it is an attempt to grapple with life. It is the hope and prayer of the writer that through this publication a wider circle of people may be reached.

This book takes its title from a sermon found within, "SUCH AS I HAVE."
