I was lazily sopping a bowl of Jones Sahibs' fizz when they ushered 1908 into this little town. It isn't often I do that, but I had good luck this time in having the new 'un bob in at just the proper moment to get an aristocratic and dignified impression of me.

Mr. Jones left us today. we are the losers, for he livened us up, turned over our livers several times, patched up an international feud, and qott weisnoch. He is certainly all the currency.

He has came and went, I am still alive and holding my job. Who'd 'a thunk it?
