Saturday we're supposed to have a half holiday, but nix [[strikethrough]] four [[/strikethrough]] for ours. Instead we dug at accounts for New York, our quarterly job, until four thirty. Then we took the pup in the tow and made for the club.

I'd like to have seen Bunny today. I had a nice little cable from Bombay for him to chew over.

That damned tub isn't due until eight tonight. That means tomorrow before we get the mail. Three Sundays running now that's happened, and it's enough to make one tired. These P. & O. guys need the wrong end of a mule in the solar plexus. It would do them good. 

Well, I went over to Bunny's this morning. I had a hell of a whopper ale framed up for him, but he took it for granted before I got a chance to open my mouth. My, but he was troubled. Selim had muscat cables translated for me, and chewed his beard half off. They told me they'd give me an offer tomorrow.
