Say, girls, did you ever read any Balzac? Huh? One of my friends here, - I won't cast any imputations on his seeming good character by mentioning his name, - sent me over that little volume "Contes Drolatiques" for my perusal. Say, girls, it certainly was goin' some! I read a couple of the stories, and then decided it was a trifle too warm for this climate. Its bad enough as it is without adding fuel to the flames. Of course I mean the climate, girls.

Garnichts zu thun noch einmal. Last night Smith and I pulled over to Slipps, and stung 'em for the drinks and a feed.  Other than this, which happened yesterday, there was nothing doing today.
