Now if I'd been home, where I should be, I'd be crowned Queen of the May, Mother, today. Serves me right for leaving my wife and family and carryin' on goin' globe-trottin'.

Well, we wrote out our cash today and then blew the whistle. Why a man should unecessarily detain himself on the job out [[strikeout]] [[?]] [[/strikeout]] here gets me.

I got more satisfaction out of tennis tonight than I've had for a long-time. I licked that common, ordinary Reis,- from the ground up, too. It was sweet.
