I must have got a wee touch of the sun yesterday somehow, for today I've been on the pork for fair. Ache all over. Cheer up, you're not sick long out here. Its cured or kilt, one way or the other, in jig time and no ^[[tiresome]] waits.

So far I've been feeling pretty well out here. Slipp told me Uncle Dwight had fever his first week out here. It must have been mighty encouraging.

Cremaschi, Esq. entertained at tiffin today. Schirmer was there, but we did not go in for mutual entertainment much. Just before the grub-call smote the air in walked the circus lady. C. is very gallant, I tell you, but we were all on to him. But with the memsahib in "Sunny It" C's admiration must be lavished on some material object near at hand. It must be his warm southern blood, - his impetuous temperament. Go ahead, we know how you feel about it.
