94 1/2

We cert'n'y did get to'em in tennis tonight. I casually mentioned to Reis that Stritt and I would play him and Nocentini a double, and he laughed in my face. Nocentini thought it was an equally good joke. We said we'd give 'em a game, anyway, and then fitted it into 'em to the extent of three sets, one after the other, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2, or only 18 games to 7. I believe it gave them something of a shock. They will probably cut out the merry ha-ha in the golden future.

94

Stritt and I took a little stroll up in back of the Sook tonight. Afterward we adjourned to Bait el Klein and sat up on the roof and soliloquized on things in general.

Rather warm again today, I could have sworn we touched the century mark, but Arthur said 94, bus, as recorded above.

Arthur who?

Our thermometer.
