Good work on the wire today. Nope, this isn't no circus note. I sent a cable to New York at noon and got my answer at dinner time. Not so worse, you know.

Got a beaut picture of Uncle Dwight last mail. It's a work of art. Nope, I haven't had any taken [[strikeout]] ^[[lately]]. Between Comstock and this foul ^[[& liberty-destroying]] injunction law I've been a little up against it. They say the public won't stand for what [[strikethrough]] they [[/strikethrough]] ^[[it]] used to.

It seems the Benians try to placate the monsoon-wallah by offering of foodstuff cast upon the waves. Silly, isn't it? But then, we do the same thing,- only we eat ours first.
