Election news reached us today. Taft is in! Hughes is in! Bryan is down and out for the third time, with his free silver and gov't. railways and socialism. The country isn't going to hell [[strikethrough]] yet [[/strikethrough]] for yet a while. It would have been an everlasting black stain on New York State had Hughes been defeated, but the farmers beat Tammany and saved the day. Perhaps Bryan will shut up now, but that's too much to expect of Tammany.
