Bunny is expecting me over there this morning to figure out invoices and get a few pies a bale on us, but he will expect some considerable time, and in vain, I reckon. The mental and moral gymnastics he'll go through in order to squeeze out an anna when you're not looking is enough to make a hoss laff. But he's real shameless about it.

Gessner got back from Hodeidah yesterday and goes to Mombasa tonight. Save those 110 ^[[Hodeidah]] boils he had to oncet there, the place seems to have agreed with him. He looks some fatter. Bon voyage,-I'll be with you soon.

There is still nothing doing. Of course, I can't sell any cotton goods, and as there's no ivory to buy at anything like reasonable prices, all I can do is to recline on my Gluteus Maximus and wait for the rest of the Buhari's bales to show up.

Got some spears from Berberah for the Kid today. My curio consignment is about full up now.
