Telegram this morning, - "Domansky proceed to Mombasa by first opportunity", so I thought sure I'd be off today, But Mr. Arnold has decided to let me wait for the "Feldmarschall" on the 10th. But I will be went that time, all right. I'm very glad to have a few days more here, of course, and not have to rush off on an hour's notice, as it were.

The pup will don his travelling togs, too, and come with me. I can't leave the poor little kelb behind. May have to stick him in quarantine for a month, but I hope not. Well, the trip will give him a chance to "see part of the world and will broaden his views. Its an education in itself."

Mr. Arnold & I called on Bunny and Selim this morning, - had but a brief chat, it being mailday. I know the both of 'em were just dying to ask when I was going to vamoose, but their curiosity remained unsatisfied.

We went over to Parker's for tiffin, and chewed the rag over the commercial aspects of Aden and the coast. We sure know just how it ought to be didded.

Klein has given up Bridge. I thought it was too good to be true, but sure enough he kept out tonight. If he'll only keep off it until the 10th instant I will be deeply grateful to him.
