More ivory in today.  The way that stuff comes into this burg is amazing.  There must be a pile of elephants nosing around upcountry, and no mistake. 

Don't you forget, Hon, that we're the kingpin ivory wallas in these parts.  Out of 680 prime shipped out of here in the last six months we totalled 404 to the rest of the towns' 276.  That isn't so worse, is it?

Today was enlivened by a mail from home. One more birthday offering, and a belated Christmas calendar from the fayre Ethylle.  Mate has given me the trun down, - I guess that yarn of Dike's anent EFJ put her off.  Well, well.  Ethel is a nice thoughtful little kid, and no mistake.  I wish Dike would get next. 

Stewart writes from up-country that he's getting fat by the minute, and requests fifty chips for the maintenance fund.
