Still working hard, and overtime. On top of the lot I bought last Sunday, I got another big one today. Josephs did his damndest to get this, but we staved him off, all right.

Jo is rather vexed at me, — he was talking so bloody much the other day that at last I told him that we would be bringing ivory and selling cotton goods here long after Childs & Co. were nothing but a memory. He didn't like that a bit. But the truth is mighty, and it will prevail.

The Champeen Trust Buster of the world has left Aden. I wonder if all the rox are still there?

He cabled from Port Said declining any public reception here, but the Club has asked him to dinner, and we hope he will accept, The general opinion is, however, that there will be a special train waiting for the steamer, and that he will leave for up-country immediately, if not sooner. 

Everybody here wants to see and hear him, — it's amazing how popular he is with the Britishers and Germans, and even the Latins.
