Well, at 2:30 this afternoon Theodore the Terrible beat it to the Highlands, and Mombasa stepped out of the moonlight. Well, we've had our day. The country here will be in Teddy's debt by the time he leaves it, I can [[underlined]] assure [[/underlined]] you. It will be the greatest advertising in the world for it.

Teddy had a great sendoff, and he must have enjoyed his stay here, short at it was. He was obviously dee-lighted at our putting one foot on the table while we sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" last night and did the same himself when we drank to Selous.

I think he really enjoyed it here. It seemed so, anyway.

Dike wrote me to send him pictures of our racket here, and I've fixed both the local photographers. I'll have a bunch of damfine pictures go out of here tomorrow, and I hope Dike will be able to collect on them. Sutton wrote me on the same subject, but charity commences in one's own little wooden 'ut, as it were.
