Ott, und Mau, und Gessner showed up tonight. Naman done noble, and altogether we had a nice chikula. After I wake this tubbakh up with a little more practise I'll start practising on the wimmen folks, and they'll be some eatin's goin' on here now and then. But we try it on the Sahibs first, you understand.

Either the chikula or the soporific atmosphere of our drawing-room, or the club bar was too much for Mau, for he simply had to go to sleep at ten. He must have been awful tired, for he had difficulty in walking downstairs as he said goodnight. Never been that way myself, Mau, but understand what it must be like.
