That darned old frog tub, the "Melbourne", which was due here on the 27th of last month, not content with being delayed at Marseilles, has bust down and been towed to Aden. She won't be here now until the 14th. That means another one of these three week interval between mails. Damn the old tub, anyway. 

This "Melbourne" is the one that run aground here last March. She seems bent on being disagreeable these days. 

Jo says -- has got a govt. job now, carrying the official French letters.
