'E turned hup this mornink. I scrambled out of bed at the ungodly hour of five and beat it over to Kilindini.

In the afternoon the wonderful fair came off on the Sports Club grounds. Meyer had a magician's show - he's quite a fundi at the game - and I assisted at the agony box. We made quite a little out of our show. Altogether the fair was quite a success.

The Bibi Governor opened the gates. Blime me, Bill, but she was summat of a peach! If she is a fair specimen of S. African products, that must be a great country down there.
