The boat is a steam launch. 69 feet long. In the stern he has a lot of cushions so that you can lie and sit on them if you like, instead of sitting on the cockpit. I stayed on the cushions all the time. We sailed along the island for about twelve miles. You can see the mountains and all Bar Harbor much better on the water than when you are driving about. We went into North West Harbor which has mountains all around and is really

beautiful. Next-eve ran into [[blank space]] and for seven miles sailed along with the most perfect scenery before our eyes. Then we turned and went back the same way we had come.

Sir Lion was very nice to me, he came up on the cushions where I was comfortably established. Talked to me and told me several funny stories. I am sure it was very kind of him, to waste his time on me. 
Mrs. James is not pretty.
