So there was Fraulein Martha Willie Post, [[Stuntie?]], Willie Whitehouse, Bertie Geolet Alfred, Regi and I all in the omnibus and Willing Spencer and Bertie Hunt outside. After we were about a mile from Newport the rain stopped and the boys all wanted to get on top. I called out as they were pilling [[strikethrough]] on to [[/strikethrough]] up, "any room up there for me" A general cry of "yes" answered my appeal, so I clambered up, and was soon in the center

of eight boys. I had Stuntie and Bertie one on each side, & consequently had a pretty ^[[lively]] time. 

We sang songs, talked and laughed all the time. When I wanted to get down thinking I crowded the boys to  much, [[Stuntie?]] refused to let me pass on his side and almost begged me to stay up. I was only too glad to comply. Bertie H. was rather bold and wanted me all the time to pay attention to him.
