eleven, but poor Bitty was pretty stiff. I rode again with Daisy in the afternoon, and she felt very badly as it was to be her last ride.  But we made the most of it. Alfred drove old Pirate down to the Wickford Boat Saturday morning with Fraulein and I. We went down to see the Post's off. They were already there, and Daisy and I walked up and down arm in arm,

until it was time to get on.

We went on with them, and stood at the end of the deck watching them put on the trunks. We did not say very much. Daisy was very sorry to leave Newport, and perhaps me a little too.  But we will  not have long to wait. Mr Post soon called out it was time to get off, and Daisy kissed me twice with emphasis, said "Good bye." Kissed me again and we rushed down
