The other girls all arrived one by one, and they all (for politeness of course), said that they were very glad to see me back.

Alice O'Hara really seemed glad and shook hands and smiled all over.

We have prayers down stairs this year and it is much nicer.

to my delight. I had thought about the first walk rather to much in Newport where it was so quiet, and now that it really came, all that disappointed me was not seeing the friends I had planned on seeing.

I really don't think I saw any one special. But still enjoyed it. Tuesday came school again and I was not sorry. We had a very nice time at recess and found it only too short. I again
