Mother sick. Had to call the Dr also--called Alma. They got here about the same time. She had cardiac asthma. She was better before the Dr got here but she surely was gasping for her breath when I went up stairs first. I had to go in town but waited until the kids came home. Clarence thought he would have to work but did not. We went to bed early.

Beautiful day but windy. Mother seems pretty good. She coughs some. Have run the sweeper and swept the kitchen. Should dust. Must get Dicks shoes when I go in town. Did not go until I went in with Olive. Mailed mothers letter and got the paper.
