SATURDAY 27 OCTOBER
300th Day 65 Days to come [[/preprinted]]

Got a letter from Ava

Rainy. Took Margaret in town, tried at M & W to get an adjustment for those shoes but they would not do anything after telling me to wait. I even had to pay .50 for overparking on N. Detroit. If it had been on Main or E Col. I would not have paid it. Margaret stayed with Barbara, Bill J. brought back the television. So Dad and Dick saw the wrestling but I went to bed.

Dick & I went to S.S. & church. We sang "Who Else but God" but never again. I guess we did not do very well. We were home the rest of the day. Bert Van Vorios[[guess]] shot killed himself around noon. Dick Firmin came here and told us.
