Special Delivery (2nd, 3rd and 4th class Mail). Expeditious dispatch, transportation same as first class mail, INCLUDING IMMEDIATE DELIVERY—up to 2lbs. 25c; 2 to 10 lbs. 35c; over 10 lbs. 45c.

Mark envelopes or wrappers "Special Delivery" or "Special Handling," as the case may be, and add below an inscription to indicate the fee paid for the special service, in this manner: "Fee Paid......cents."

Use distinctive "Special Delivery" or "Special Handling" stamps if obtainable.

AIR MAIL

Domestic Air Mail postage rate is 6c for each ounce or fraction thereof, regardless of distance or routing. Post and Postal Card 4c each. This figure includes all transportation to and from the various routes. All Air Mail may be sent Special Delivery. 

Weight limit 70 lbs. and size limit 100 inches in length and girth combined.

To the Armed Forces overseas the rate of postage is 6c for each ounce up to and including 8 ounces. The rate of 80c for the first pound (over 8 oz. to 1 pounds) and 80c for each additional pound or fraction thereof shall apply. Weight limit 70 lbs.

AIR MAIL (Domestic) 6c per ounce or fraction, including all U.S. possessions, Canada or Mexico. To Armed Forces Overseas 6c per ounce or fraction. Limit 70 pounds.

Distinctive Air Mail envelopes and Air Mail stamps should not be used for ordinary mail. 

In order that Air Mail may be quickly recognized and identified the P.O. Department urges the use of distinctive Air Mail stamps, and distinctive Air Mail envelopes (with horizontal red, white and blue stripes or alternate red, white and blue parallelogram borders) or similarly striped labels.

If ordinary envelopes are used, it is recommended that two horizontal blue lines be drawn across the envelope, not less than 1 1/8 inch from the top. Envelopes must be prominently marked "VIA AIR MAIL", parcels, may be sent as Insured or C. O. D. if otherwise conforming to third or fourth class requirements.

All Air Mail may be registered.

FOREIGN MAIL MATTER LETTER AND CARD POSTAGE LETTERS: 3 cents per ounce or fraction thereof. POST CARDS: Single 1 cent, double 2 cents to the following: Alaska, Canal Zone, Guam (U.S. Samoa) Hawaii, Territory of Manua (U.S. Samoa), Porto Rica, Samoa, U.S., St. Croiz, St. Thomas. Tutuila (U.S. Samoa), Virgin Isl.,U.S.

LETTERS: 3 cents per ounce or fraction thereof. POST CARDS: Single 2 cents, double 4 cents to the following:
Alhucemas Isl., Andorra, Argentina, Balearic Islands, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Canary Islands, Ceuta, Chafarinas or Zafarani Isl., Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Rep. of Labrador, Melilla, Mexico, Morocco (Spanish Zone), Newfoundland, Nicaragua, Panama, Rep. of Paraguay, Penon De Velez, De La Gomera, Peru, Philippines, Rio de Oro, Salvador, El. Spain and certain Spanish possessions, Spanish Guinea, Tangier, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zafarina Island.

LETTERS: 5 cents first ounce or fraction thereof, 3 cents each additional ounce or fraction thereof. POST CARDS: Single 3 cents, double 6 cents to all countries not listed above.
(Note: Picture and souvenir post cards without a message other than a greeting of not more than 5 words may be sent at the printed matter rate of not more than 5 words may be sent at the printed matter rate of 1½c for each 2 ounces in the foreign mails).

Registration: Applicable if desired to all letters and articles in the regular mails to all foreign countries (parcel post registrations restricted in some instances).

International (Foreign) Parcel Post—(See your Postmaster).

Special Delivery: Fee 20 cents in addition to full regular postage to the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Brazil, British Guiana, British Honduras (Belize only), Chile, China Corsica, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Guatemala, Honduras, Rep. of Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kenya & Uganda, Luxemburg, Mexico, Gold Coast Colony, Morocco (Spanish), Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Nyasaland Protectorate, Panama, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, St. Pierre & Miquelon Somalia, Sweden, Switzerland, Jordan (Hashimite Kingdom) and Union of South Africa. The (French) word "ESPRES" should be boldly marked in red ink directly below (but never on) the stamp. Special Delivery may also be applied to Canada and Newfoundland (including Labrador) (certain places) but it is permitted only on letters, whereas to the other foreign countries mentioned above it may be used on all reguaar mails, excepting parcel post. Special Delivery fees on Canada up to 2 lbs,. 15c, over 2lbs. up to 10lbs., 35c, over 10 lbs., 35c.
