Rained about all day. Fixed stuff to take to the covered dish. I took Butter beans Brussels Sprouts meat loaf and an apple Pie Brown bread & cheese Sandwiches and pickles we had a lovely times, Smiths, Millers, Jacksons and the Jackson family all but Peg Woody & Bob Kids went to Mac [[?Clandaus]] for supper.

Uncle Harry M's birthday

Did up the chores. Layed down when the kids went to school. But Mr. Howe called and wanted me to go out to the farm and I got back after 1: Then thought I would lay down again. The telephone rang we got a cable gram from Gwynn that he would be home soon and not to write anymore. I called several of my friends. They rejoiced with me. Thank you God!
