  In order to set the stage for this account of our trip, an account which I fear will be no more satisfactory than the one about the cruise and for the same reasons in general, it seems desirable to display immediately the three photos I have, taken during the trip and very generously given to us by Barbara Reed recently, all of our own pictures being 8mm movies again.  The first picture shows Barbara with our Bab and Rog and an unknown little girl taken at the Reed home in Yorktown.  It is a very poor picture of Barbara Reed and runs true to form because she almost never takes a good picture.  The interesting thing about her here is her relatively sylph-like figure.  The picture is excellent of Bab and Rog:

And the following shot was taken on a Norfolk-Newport News ferryboat during one of our outings as we ferried the Dodge across the harbor.  Chick Reed, resembling a small incipient pugilist, may also be seen here:
