Took Willie Bab and Colonel to the ball park to see the game, left them and went to the office this afternoon to gather up my papers. [[red underlined]] Stopped in to see Mom [[/red underlined]] on the way back - shan't be able to hold her at the hospital much longer - she is rarin' to go and even talks of going to [[red underlined]] Chautauqua [[/red underlined]] at the end of the season to stay awhile at the [[red underlined]] St. Elmo [[/red underlined]]. Am very anxious to see how she is after she gets back home again.

Willie, Bab and Colonel met me at the station to say goodbye (after seeing Jamesville whip Erie 17-10 in a regular riot of a game in which even Como Cotelle, centerfielder pitched two innings for Erie). [[red underlined]] Tomorrow is Colonel's 68th birthday [[/red underlined]] and Tuesday he leaves for L'ville and Bab for Chicago to visit Dorothy Jean MacDonald. Willie will be completely alone and while she seems to be looking forward to utter freedom for a week or ten days, my hunch is she will find it very disturbing after a day or so. Perhaps I'll bring her to Washington next week.

Train 3 1/2 hours late so I didn't get to work until noon at WPB. Charley Creasser says they want me and Knowlson called Stevenson, so I am going to sign up - forms being made out. Spent afternoon on small builders schedules with Ed Harley, [[red underlined]] Marshall Raymond and Joe Rowbottom. [[/red underlined]] Marshall Raymond, Alco Cleveland manager and a swell guy who looks like "Red" Bartleson of the Erie Sailors, will handle the big builders schedules and I the small bldrs. [[two parallel vertical red lines in the left margin]] Joe Rowbottom is American Steel Foundries man here on castings primarily. The four of us went out together tonight and got acquainted the quick way, via the Mayflower Mens Bar and the New Orleans. [[/two parallel vertical red lines in the left margin]]
