The evening left a rather bad taste in my mouth as unjust criticism always does, even when coming from someone under the influence. The next time I hope I can keep my temper better. I really like Vic but he does have an ego and it certainly showed up tonight - usually he keeps it well submerged. 
Today I took the four sulfa pills I had left and they seem to have helped me somewhat.

[[x]] Today Charlie Creasser got Stevenson's permission to go to Erie with me this weekend and I called Willie and told her so she can make plans as Mrs. Creasser is coming also.

[[x]] I got up first at 6AM and went to the bathroom - my pain was gone. At 8AM I went again and it was back again about as bad as ever. Then it kept decreasing all day. So I guess the sulfa pills did some good. If only I had some more I believe I could knock it out. It appears there is an optimum number for me to take a one time and I believe four or five are better than 8 or 10; too many I think are too strong and set up a counter irritation of some kind.

[[checkmark, bullet point]] Conferred largely today with O'Brien of Vulcan whose program is slipping because of material shortages - can't even get boiler plate to get the 50 Army 0-6-0's started in time. Norton of Scullin, a smooth, pleasant, cooperative chap with slick blond hair and a derby hat, was in to get dope on second hand steam and impressed me very much as being anxious to try to help us locate suitable second hand equipment. We got a two page telegraphic blast from American Steel Foundries about their
