[[checkmark, bullet point]] In the drugstore at the hotel where I stopped for a milk shake after my walk, I found a 5 pound G.E. automatic iron, just what Willie has been trying unsuccessfully to get. I tried to buy it but they didn't know the price but agreed to hold it for me while they ascertained the price. I phoned Willie and she said she would like to have it. Washington, D.C.
Monday, Nov. 9, 1942.

[[x]] Started the day off with an irritating incident. Got down to the lobby about 7:45 and waited until 8:00 for Vic Ed and Mat. [[x]] Evans and Rehorst still raising hell about Whitcomb getting the Pittsburgh Steel order away from them.
