Dear Mrs. Porter:

I explained to you this morning over the telephone that I received word from Mr. Leonard C. Hans, Jr. that you had purchased the picture of the Three Colored Girls Waiting on a Street Corner for a Bus by Charles Shannon, and I take the liberty of sending you enclosed an invoice for same.

I understand that you will be good enough to lend us the picture for Mr. Shannon's exhibition here at the galleries which will probably open the 10th of May. However, we shall communicate with you in ample time in this regard.

I hope you and Mr. Porter thoroughly enjoy your purchase of the work of this young artist who we believe is extremely talented, and no doubt will make a name for himself.

Should there be anything else I can do for you, please do not hesitate to let me know, and

Believe me to be

Most faithfully,

(R. H. Waegen)
