December 18th,
1939

Dear Mrs. Porter:

Every so many thanks for your very courteous note which I just received.

I fully understand that it may not be the most opportune moment to look at art treasures with the Christmas rush going on, and I hope that on your re- turn from Indiana, you can arrange to give me a leisurely hour when we can look at beautiful things at ease.

I myself am leaving this coming Sunday for Arizona but expect to be back around the 15 of January.

May I express at this time my best wishes for a pleasant trip, a merry Christmas, and all the best of luck for the coming year.

Always faithfully,

(R. H. Waegen)
