[[underlined]] Re: Arthur Sachs [[/underlined]]

Dear Germain:

I have your letter of the 13th instant relative to the unpacking of the Titan portrait belonging to the above named. I assume from your letter that you believe that whatever slight damage may possibly have been done either to the painting or to the frame in which it was contained, can easily be attended to at your gallery and in any event is not of such nature as to warrant any claim being made against Mr. Sachs' insurers in respect thereof. My representative also stated that this was your view, in the report which he filed after returning to my office.

I confirm my telephone advices that you may destroy the box in which this painting was shipped, which authority was given in view of your statement that you would not personally be willing to use this box for a painting of your own.

With best regard, I am

Faithfully yours,
                                  [[signature]] Herman G. Kopald [[/signature]]
