April 30, 1954

Monsieur le Ministre
Dear Mr. Sciolette:

Your very pleasant lines of April 26, have just reached me, and I hasten to send you my congratulations, for you are now practically an Ambassador, and in any case the head of the Economic Department and your own master.

This is certainly great news.

I also want to thank you for agreeing to have the statue published under your name, but not having heard anew from Miss Martine Weber I shall do nothing further for the the time being, and we will talk this matter over when we meet again shortly in Paris.

I shall be stopping at the Ritz and may I suggest that you give me a ring when you reach that great city.

Saying a bientot and with renewed congratulations and best personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
