Dear Mr. Winterbotham:

Mr. D. C. Rich of Chicago was kind enough to give us to understand that you were expected in New York in the near future, and as we have now current in our galleries an extremely fine exhibition of the works of Juan Gris, we thought that you would be interested in viewing it. This is why I take the liberty of sending these lines to your hotel as a reminder, and indeed I hope that we shall have the privilege of receiving your visit when you arrive in New York.

Looking forward to seeing you,

Please believe me to be

Yours very sincerely,

(C. M. de Hauke)
