Dear Mr. McNamara,

I am just in receipt of your letter of yesterday's date.

As a matter of fact, when I received your first wire I am sorry I did not know who "A.B. McNamara" was, and that is why I wired my reply to Mrs. Fleischmann.

Regarding the last paragraph of your letter, although Mr. Fleischmann purchased the Flemish-Gothic tapestry from us, I was not familiar with the other three, and under any circumstances I naturally did not know what valuation Mr. Fleischmann would want placed upon these tapestries for insurance purposes.

Anyhow, I wish to assure you that the lack of this information did not in any way inconvenience us because your second wire arrived in ample time.

Yours very truly,

(Clyfford Trevor)

A.B. McNamara, Esq.,
c/o Mr. Julius Fleischmann,
