Nov. 29th, 1933.

Dear Mr. Hearst:

Many thanks for your letter of November 23rd, which I just received.

In regard to our #8734, a pink Verona marble Doorway, North Italian work of the 14th Century, our price quote to you was Four Thousand Dollars ($4000.-).

I do not have to point out to you how exceptionally beautiful and fine this Doorway is, and that in view of present times we are willing to make sacrifices. I would, therefore, be very glad if you would kindly make us an offer, as I would be extremely pleased to renew our business relationship.

In the hope to hear from you in this matter and that my lines reach you in the very best of health, believe me to be, dear Mr. Hearst, with many kind regards,

Most faithfully,

(Rolf H. Waegen)
