November 2nd, 1933.

Dear Mr. Hearst:

I just returned a few days ago from Europe, where I regretted not seeing you among its annual visitors. I would have liked very much to discuss with you several matters which I now take the liberty of bringing to your attention.

As you may know, we are moving from the Palais Sagan to our new house in the rue de la Paix, and due to more limited space, we are compelled to abandon certain types of works of art which would take up a great deal of room, such as large sculpture, pieces of furniture, etc., and we are willing to dispose of them, even at a great sacrifice of price.

Under these circumstances, one or the other of these objects may interest and appeal to you - some of these items you know, and if I am not mistaken, at one time you showed a certain interest in our beautiful Choir coming from the Duc Medina de Pomar - and we would consider any reasonable offer you would make us.

In the enclosure you will find list of photographs with corresponding numbers of the different items and their prices, among which you will find a few outstanding pieces, such as:

The Choir Stalls
Silver Reliquary Bust
Marble Columns of the 8th Century

I hope my lines will find you in the best of health and looking forward to hearing from you, I remain, dear Mr. Hearst, with many kind regards

Most faithfully,

(Rolf H. Waegen)
