November 4, 1930.

Dear Joe,

I just arrived in New York a few days ago and I am sorry to learn from Maury that it seems, you only recently left New York, so that I have missed you here.

I hope since our last meeting in Paris you have had a pleasant time and acclimatized yourself to American conditions.

After your departure from Paris I wrote you a letter to London, regarding the few objects which Mr. Hearst had bought from me this Summer while in Nauheim and I wonder whether you ever have received this letter. The reason I was asking for these details is that I would like to know as to where to ship these different items, as I do not know whether Mr. Hearst bought these pieces for his house in England or in California. According to your information, I will then know whether I have to bill these items via Paris or New York. I would therefore, very much appreciate if you would be good enough and let me have a reply at your earliest convenience.

I trust these lines will reach you in the very best of health and spirit, and asking you to be good enough to kindly remember me to Mr. Hearst, Miss Davies, and all the other members of the party whom I had the pleasure of meet-
