Dear Mr. Waegen:

I am sorry to have been so long delayed in replying to your letter of November 15. I gave it to Mr. Mellon and it has been buried among many other things on his desk ever since, for he, and also I, have been greatly rushed trying to catch up with things which accumulated during the campaign.

Mr. Mellon will be here more or less all the time and I know will be glad to see you if you happen to be coming to Washington at any time. He would not want you to make a special trip, and I can not add anything more to this except to say that it will also give me great pleasure to see you if you find you are here in connection with other matters.

Sincerely yours,

[[signature underlined]] David E. Finley. [[/signature underlined]]

R. H. Waegen, Esg.,
3, East 51st Street,
New York.
