Mr. John D. Rockefeller, Jr. March 2nd, 1927

to bring them to you myself, either at your home or at your office, so that I could at the same time give you the necessary explanations.

They have been very much admired by Dr. Valentiner and Miss Ackerman; - I believe you know them both, and as a matter of fact what I am writing you above is partly do to the information that they have been willing to give me.

The price I am asking for these tapestries is $75,000. each, (seventy-five thousand dollars).

We have also brought over a very unique model, an exceptionally important, 15-1/2" bronze perfume-burner by Riccio, of a model very similar to the one in the Museum Braunschweig, but otherwise completely unknown.

Also a very fine, small painting by Fragonard with a pedigree which allows us to trace the painting back practically to the day when it was painted.

A steel table, which according to documents of the time was probably made for Marie-Antoinette.

A very beautiful marble relief by Verrochio, the portrait of a young man in armour.

There are other items I would like to call to your attention, but in order not to make this letter too lengthy I just wish to add that I hope in the near future you will have a few moments to spare to give me the pleasure of your visit.

Thanking you in advance, believe me to be

Yours very sincerely,
