[[preprinted]] SAMUEL H. KRESS FOUNDATION
221 WEST 57TH STREET
NEW YORK 19, N.Y. [[/preprinted]]

January 28, 1963.-

Cher Ami,

Your kind letter of January 26 has given me much pleasure. I am particularly happy that I could keep my promise to have you and Professor Zeri with me for lunch, as I still follow the Roman principle that "PROMISSIO BONI VIRI EST OBLIGATIO", iculcated in my brains by the ferocious Italian school of my times.

You will have plenty of time for inviting Professor Zeri as he will be in this Country till sometime in July. However, his commitment to Harvard keeps him out of New York the first three days of every week. His address in New York is: Hotel Croydon, 12 East 86th Street, New York 28 (Phone: BUtterfield 8-4000). You may, of course, reach him also at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Department of Painting), where he spends most of his time when in New York.

I hope to have the pleasure of being of some more help to you in the future.

With kindest regards,

Sincerely yours,

^[[Sandrino]]
