Dear Sandrino :

As I could not reach you on the telephone, I resort to this note to tell you, without further delay, how much I appreciated your so very charming luncheon invitation.

By the same token, I want you to know what a pleasure it was to meet Professor Zeri - indeed a most interesting man. So much so, that I would like you to tell me how long he is going to remain in this country, in order to enable us to arrange a little dinner at home with you both.

With renewed thanks, and kindest thoughts,

Yours,

Germain Seligman
