Dear Guy:

Ever since you gave Ethlyne and me the privilege of examining the superb book of Piazzetta drawings, it has been my desire to tell you how much we appreciated this kind thought of us.

It was truly a revelation for it shows so many facets of the artist's talent - many of which were completely unknown to me.

Your intention of presenting it to the Morgan Library is indeed one which I hope you will follow. There we find the ideal environment - a restful "protected" atmosphere - where the scholar of the lover of art could leisurely enjoy the contents of this unique and beautiful gift.

Whatever you will decide in this respect will be, I know, as usual for the general good and, meanwhile, let me thank you anew in both our names for your thoughtful attention.

With kindest regards,

Germain Seligman
