Dear Dr. Suida

Re: The North Carolina Museum of Art
Raleigh, North Carolina

Dear Dr. Suida:

Herein I am taking the liberty of sending you a pamphlet on the

MERCURY Statute Jean GOUJON, (Atelier of) circa 1550

which I would be ever so obliged to you, were you to put it with the other documents relating to the North Carolina Museum of Art.

The price of it is $20,000 (twenty thousand).

If i am suggesting this it is on account of the scarcity of such exceptional Renaissance sculptures, and the interest Dr. W.R. Vanentiner seemed to take in this work of art.

As you may recall, in connetion with the same museum, I also turned over to you documents referring to the two following paintings:

VIGNON, Claude "Asa, Roi d'Israel"
CARRACCI, Ludovico "Assumption of the Virgin"

The two latter paintings having been reserved by Messrs. Robert L Humber and Carl W. Hamilton for several years.

With personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman [[signature]]
