Dear Miss Davis:

You will find herein two photographs of the Girardon wax statue representing "Louis XIVth"on horseback, with a short description, a pedigree as well as an historical summary. You know, I have an elaborate pamphlet on this statue at the Gallery with which however, I do not wish to burden you.

I hop you will agree with me that these smaller photographs are [[underlined]] not as bad [[/underlined]]as the ones you saw in the pamphlet and give a better idea of the beauty of this unique sculpture. But in spite of this, it will need your eloquence and persuasiveness to put it across should there be any chance of doing so.

Please be good enough to tell Mr. M. Modestini that I am looking forward to his visit on Saturday should he wish to look at the statue as I hope.

Thanking you in advance for your spirit of cooperation, and with the per personal greetings,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
