#8071 DESJARDINS, MArtin "LOUIS XIV"

The accompanying pamphlet gives further details particularly as regards the additional research made since the publication of Professor Louis Reau's articles. It reveals the link between this statue of the king and pieces of furniture by the cabinetmaker Boulle, on which can be seen armoulu bas-reliefs which were certainly inspired by this sculpture.

Furthermore, the family relationship existing between the d'Harcourts, who were the original owners of two of these pieces of furniture and the last hair of Marechal Duc de la Feillade, gives thus further evidence of the above.
