The Quartette

Each year finds the Wiley Quartette growing in popularity with their numerous audiences, increasing their territory and building a repertoire that compares most favorably with many professional organizations. During the summer of 1930 their tour embraced Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas, and a few cities in Alabama.

Edward Groner, class of 1932, is from Ardmore, Oklahoma; Lonnie Jackson, 1933, second tenor, is from Brownwood, Texas; Lacy Anderson, baritone, 1931, is from Terrell, Texas; Daniel Runnels, basso, 1933, is from Galveston, Texas, and the accompanist, Rufus Anderson, 1933, is from Beaumont, Texas.

Many patrons have been enlisted in the Wiley Endowment Campaign through the services of these young men and greater results are expected after the present season.
