and picturesque portrayal of Italian life deserves to be commended; and Wiley gladly acknowledges her great indebtedness to them for an evening of rare entertainment. Again we were swept away on the wings of melody and song by the famous "William Jubilee Singers," on Friday, February 27. The announcement of their intended engagement created a thrill in the heart of music lovers far and near. This group was at its best as it filled the Daniel Adams Brainard Memorial Chapel with harmonies that were re-echoed after the song had ceased.

We are always charmed with Sunday evening Vesper hour. As the lucid sounds peal forth from organ, the audience is made to feel the inspiring effect of peace and tranquility as it steals over the room.

The Wiley Quartette has sung its way into the hearts of many as it made various tours throughout the State. The Singers are noted for their richness of quality, superb tonality, and the ease and gracefulness which characterizes each selection.

Our calender has by no means turned its last page. As this edition of the "Wildcat" goes to press, we are reminded that other events are scheduled that will help turn the Spring season into an enriched atmosphere of music. We look forward eagerly to :

Jean Benson, Soprano, and the Apollo Male Chorus of twelve voices, in a recital April 17.

An extraordinary engagement featuring Abbie Mitchell, Soprano. A famous star of two continents, a favorite in drama, on the concert stage, and loved by radio audiences.

The presentation of Mildred Portis in a piano recital by the Music Department, April 26.

The melodious strains of the Eastern Anthems as they are sung by the Wiley Choir, Sunday, April 5.

Commencement, June 2, bringing seniors, majestic in their dignity, eager to face a world that awaits them. It also brings a wealth of music cheering them on their respective ways, leaving their last thoughts of their Alma Mater fraught with melody and song.

"And the night shall be fill with music
And the cares that infest the day
Shall fold their tents like the Arabs
And as silently, steal away."
