an angle of 27 degrees. The Wildcat's line weakened and a first year man, Adams from Fort Worth starred for his line play. Later in the fourth quarter when everything seemed against us, and it looked as if we had lost for the first time in four years a Conference game, the same "Streak" Evans caught a 20 yard heave from Johnson and galloped the rest of the distance for the last touchdown. Captain Franklin made the last extra point. The final score was Prairie View 13; Wiley 17.

The Wildcats journeyed to Shreveport with blood in their eyes. They had not forgotten the 7-4 licking given them by the Southern University Eleven of Louisiana last season. After sixty minutes in the mud, the 22 warriors came off the field with a 6-6 tie. The lone score came when Briggs blocked a punt and Griffin, the left end, covered the ball behind the goal. Odell made some last gains with the ball, and Johnson returned punts 20, 25 and 30 yards consistently.

The Philander Smith Eleven of Arkansas dropped into the Wildcat Den for a game on November 1st. The game was filled with thrills. The game turned out to be a track meet for the Wildcats. Evans, Shaw, Davis, Harris, Hill, and Odell starred for the backs while E. B. Cavil, Parks, Loving, and Briggs starred for the line. The final whistle found the game 66-6, a tremendous victory for the Wildcats.

Then Captain Franklin went in to add the extra point, and from there on the Wildcats had their way. Lucius Davis came to life and ran 63, 35 and 45 yards for touchdowns. Shaw made two touchdowns. This boy is going to more than fill "Streak" Evans shoes next year. He is great, I tell you!

Again the Wildcats went across the Mississippi river to play Straight College Eleven. Before a small Armistice Day crowd, Sherman Harris, Odell, Johnson, and Hill gave the fans plenty of action for their money. Harris ran like a ghost and Odell snatched passes out of the clouds. The Captain, Franklin, made a beautiful field goal. With the ball 4 yards from the side line, Johnson selected a place kick as the next play. The Captain made it from the 25 yard line.

Texas College suffered from the attacks of the Wildcats. The second team made 34 points the first half. The first string played only one quarter. They did not fare so well as the second string, for they made 20 points, and the first
